Natalia Grossman
Natalia Grossman is one of the most exciting athletes in a generation. The professional rock climber is a four-time IFSC World Champion and Paris Olympian who recently made history as the first-ever Latina climber on Team USA.
Natalia started climbing at age six at Santa Cruz’s Pacific Edge gym on the same walls as the legendary Chris Sharma. Her love for the sport was evident from the start, and her passion only deepened over time. At age 13, Natalia and her family relocated to Boulder, CO, where she trained under renowned sport climber Robyn Erbesfield-Raboutou as part of the ABC Kids Climbing team.
In what is widely considered her breakthrough season in 2021, Natalia shattered records by winning two IFSC World Cups. The first American in over 25 years to win gold, she established herself as a force to be reckoned with. She has been ranked first in IFSC Bouldering for 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Natalia is the first American woman to win multiple overall IFSC World Cup medals in a single season, and the first woman to win four IFSC World Cup Series titles in a row.
For Natalia, balance is a crucial ingredient to her impressive career. She graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in psychology and uses her education to express the importance of a strong body and mind. In a field where being tough is the status quo, Natalia is carving out a different path, smiling and fighting through. She exemplifies passion, perseverance, and playfulness and is just getting started in what she can do.
"Natalia Grossman brings a unique blend of strength, strategy, and grace to the sport of climbing, setting a new standard for the next generation of climbers."
